We exclude controversial or harsh additives, including parabens, harmful phthalates, sulfates, artificial dyes and formaldehyde.
Clean does not mean 100% natural. Our fragrances use a safe blend of botanical extracts and non-toxic, lab-created molecules that are gentle on sensitive skin.
We provide a detailed allergen guide on request.
We never use gelatin, carmine, lanolin, tallow-based ingredients, or animal-derived fining agents such as isinglass, egg white or casein.

How many sprays?
Concentration is only half the story. The notes decide the rest.
Fresh scents will always wear shorter. Citrus and aquatic molecules are light and evaporate fast. That is chemistry, not concentration. At 30% we push them as far as they can go, but a neroli will never outlast an oud. So spray a fresh scent generously and top up at midday. Warm scents need a lighter hand.
Figures are after maceration, on moisturised skin.
Let it mature
Every bottle is freshly compounded, so it arrives young. A short rest lets the oils and alcohol fully blend for a smoother scent, more depth and longer wear.

Know your fragrance
Every Scented Garden fragrance is made at 30% concentration, extrait de parfum strength. Most designer eau de parfums sit at 15–20%.
It comes down to the notes. Fresh notes like citrus, aquatic and green evaporate quickly. Warm notes like amber, vanilla, oud, woods and musk are heavier and linger for hours. So even at 30%, a fresh scent won't last as long as a warm one.
Tip: Spray on moisturised skin, pulse points and clothing for the longest wear.
No. A cool, dark drawer is all a fragrance needs. At 30% concentration, our formulas are dense and stable enough to hold their character for years at room temperature, and the fridge only adds condensation and temperature swings that do real damage.
A cheap fragrance usually comes down to low-grade ingredients. They give a harsh, sharp opening and a flat note that never develops.
We use natural isolates, pure aromatic compounds taken from botanicals, alongside high-grade aroma molecules refined for smoothness. The result is a fragrance that feels smooth from first spray to dry-down.
We could make this cheaper tomorrow. It's a choice, not a constraint.
Almost all of a fragrance's cost sits in the bottle, not the box. Two perfumes can share an identical note list and be separated by ten times in price, because a note is a description, not an ingredient. "Rose" can mean a genuine absolute distilled from tonnes of petals, or a single cheap aroma chemical that gestures at rose and stops there. The formula reads the same. The scent does not.
Where the money goesNaturals, sourced globally. Absolutes, resins and essential oils cost many times what their synthetic stand-ins do, and prices move with each harvest. We buy florals, woods, spices and resins from wherever they are grown best. Oud is a language we speak, not the only one.
Grade, not just type. The same aroma molecule is sold at several purities. The cheap grade carries impurities you smell as harshness in the opening. The refined grade costs more and disappears into the blend. We buy the refined one every time.
Concentration. 30% oil against the 15–20% of most designer eau de parfums.
Time on the bench. A flat fragrance is cheap to build: a handful of materials, one accord, done. Layering dozens of materials at different evaporation rates takes months of revisions to balance.
What that buys youA dry-down that keeps going. Cheaply built fragrances state themselves in the first ten minutes and then hold still. Ours are constructed so the last hour is the best hour.
Movement. The oils shift as they warm, so notes surface and recede, and the scent you finish the day with isn't the one you started with.
Every formula follows the safety standards set by the International Fragrance Association, the global benchmark for fragrance ingredients.
